Our beautiful Mia, along with 10 extremely cute Golden Retriever siblings were born on Wednesday, September 17th 2008.
This birth was much anticipated, since we didn't have much luck with the original litter we were waiting for, back in August.
We got to visit Mia and her siblings at the kennel on October 19th. We couldn't wait and were sooo excited!! The puppies were 4 weeks and 4 days old.
It was so difficult to choose which puppy we wanted! They all looked so much alike and were all so adorable, we wanted to take them all home! Thank goodness the breeder was able to help us!
As for the name Mia, I wanted something feminine, but not very common for dogs. We were struggling with a name and kept changing our minds for the past couple of months!
We'll be picking Mia up at the breeder on Sunday November 9th. We can't wait!!!

Hi, just started following your blog - we just adopted a shepherd/yellow lab mix from the shelter and I was browsing around the internet looking for stats on growth expectations. When I plugged in 35 lbs 5 months and 42 lbs 6 months I got directed to a post you made that had your cuties stats on it, and the link for your blog was there. I just loved looking through all your photos of beautiful Mia and because they think Stella was born roughly last October, its great for me to see pictures of Mia's growth and even though they're not the same breed I can get a rough idea of what Stella must have looked like as a pup. :-) anyways, just a long winded post to let you know why I'm following your blog of your adorable pup!
