Mia's first vacation at the cottage

This year was the first year we had Mia with us for our yearly cottage vacation. Despite her being in heat, sometimes having to wear a diaper indoors and being leashed 99% of the time, we all had a great time.

Mia loved stalking the chipmunks and birds and trying to catch them. Of course she wasn't quick enough, plus being leashed didn't help, I'm sure.

She sure loved exploring! I love this picture of her.

And she swam, her favourite thing to do... or one of them.

And rolling down the hill and rolling around in the dirt to get really clean after coming ouf of the water.

Sometimes she just had quiet times and looked at the ducks in the lake.

Ooops, and here she fell in the water, at the point. Guess those rocks were more slippery than she thought!

And by mid-afternoon, she'd have a nap to regain some energy.

The highlight of Mia's vacation at the cottage was when she got a visit from her Golden Retriever friend Molly.

They had such a great time, playing in the water...

.. and wrestling and playing chase.
